How to measure for curtains
  1. 1. Measure the width

    Measure your curtain rod, not the window. For a full, gathered look, pick panels that add up to 1.5 to 2 times that width.

  2. 2. Measure the length

    Measure from the top of the rod to where you want the curtain to end: the sill, just below it, or the floor.

  3. 3. Pick your length

    24 to 36 in. for kitchen tiers, 63 in. for sill length, 84 in. for most rooms, 90 in. and up for tall windows.
